ILLNESS TAKES FERRELL BELLES
Ferrell B. Belles of Willard died Friday February 24
at Hood River Memorial Hospital after a prolonged illness.
Surviving her are her husband Albert O. Belles of Cook;
four sons, Hobert Green of Hood River; James and Kenneth Belles of Seattle;
Lindel Belles of Anaheim, Calif.; and two daughters, Mrs. Jean La Fazia of
Los Angeles, Calif.; and Mrs. Ora Mae Hamilton of Cook; and 19 grandchildren.
Also one brother Forrest Mathias of Lakeport, Calif.
Funeral services were held Wednesday March 1, at Gardners
Funeral Home in White Salmon with interment at the White Salmon Cemetery.
Rev. Leslie B. Lewis officiating.
Casket bearers were Jim Woosley, Les Knowlton, Ray Lemley,
Bob Rogers, Louis Friand and John Tiffany.
Ferrell Mathias Belles was born October 31, 1907 at Berkeley,
Calif. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Mathias. She was married
January 28, 1928 to Albert Belles in San Fransisco, Calif.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Belles have made their home in the
Mill A-Cook area for the past 17 years.

WILLARD RESIDENT DIES IN HOOD RIVER ON FEBRUARY 24
Ferrell B. Belles was born October 31, 1907 at Berkeley,
California to George and Laura Mathis. She attended school in Berkeley and
Richmond, California. On January 29, 1928 she was married to Albert O. Belles
in San Francisco, California. She has lived at Willard, Washington for the
last fourteen years.
After a prolonged illness she passed away February 24th
in the Memorial Hospital in Hood River, Oregon.
Surviving her is her husband, Albert O. Belles of Willard,
Wash. Three sons: James of Renton, Washington; Kenneth of Montlake Terrace,
Wash.; Kindekke of Anaheim, California; two daughters: Mrs. Jean La Fazia
of Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Ora Mae Hamilton of Cook, Wash.; Nineteen
grandchildren; one stepson: Hobert Green.
