OBITUARY
Francis Curtiss Heller, an early pioneer resident of
this section, passed away at Salem, Ore., April the 28th, after a lingering
illness.
Mr. Heller was born at Grand Rapids, Michigan, July the
17th, 1852, having passed away at the age of 74 years, 9 months and 11 days.
His early youth was spent at Kalamazoo, Michigan where
he obtained his education and followed the carpenter's trade. When still
quite young Mr. Heller came to Klickitat county and settled on a homestead
in the Spring Creek section, where he was engaged in extensive farming until
about eight years ago when his health began to fail.
On November the 15th, 1892 he married Mary A. Stout,
to which union seven children were born, one of which died in infancy.
Surviving Mr. Heller are five daughters, Mrs. John Gibbons,
of Camp Lewis, Wash., Mrs. Melvin Olsen, of Portland, Ore., Mrs. Paul Vote,
Misses Ruby and Vera, and a son Harvey, of this city, also a granddaughter
of this city.
Mr. Heller was active in educational and community affairs
and was a kindly father and a helpful and willing neighbor.

Died in this city April 28, Frank Heller at the age of 72 years. Remains are being forwarded to Goldendale, Wash., for interment by Rigdon & Son.
