FRED HOCTOR RITES HELD
Requiem mass funeral rites were held at Holy Trinity
Catholic Church Wednesday morning for Fred C. Hoctor, who died Sunday morning
following a heart attack. He was 57 years of age.
Mr. Hoctor had not been feeling well during recent weeks,
but had suffered no acute illness. He recovered from a severe attack about
a year ago.
A native of Goldendale, he had lived his entire life
in the No. 6 area southwest of here, where he operated a ranch.
Survivors include the widow, Lois; sons Michael and
Frederick; daughters Susan, Linda and Patty; five brothers, Will, John, and
Joe, Goldendale, Richard of Ellensburg, and Robert, Yakima; and two sisters,
Grace Fuchs of Yakima and Agnes Sarsfield, Goldendale.
Active pallbearers were his nephews: Edward, Charles,
Emmett, Donald and Wayne Hoctor, and Edward Sarsfield. Honorary pallbearers
included nephews Robert Fuchs, James Hoctor and William Sarsfield, and Richard
Umlauf, Richard Hoctor and Leonard Wilber.
Interment was at Holy Trinity Catholic Cemetery, Goldendale.
