FINAL RITES HELD SATURDAY, DEC. 13 FOR F.D. CAMPBELL
Final tribute was paid to Frank D. Campbell, a long-time
resident of Spring Creek, in services in the Phillips funeral home last Saturday
afternoon at two o'clock, with Rev. Bruce B. Groseclose, of the Methodist
church, in charge.
Pall bearers were Henry Mayhew, Fred Warren, Bob Yorke,
Floyd Clarence, Henry Walker, and Bob Divers.
Interment was in the Spring Creek cemetery.
Mr. Campbell was born in Red Oak, Iowa, September 25,
1860 and moved to Arkansas with his parents when he was a small boy, and
from there moved to Missouri, where he met and married Rosa E. White in December
of 1885.
They came west and located in Goldendale in 1888 and
two years later moved to Spring Creek, where they established a home where
Mr. Campbell resided until his death December 10.
He leaves a son, Charles, two brothers, W.B. Campbell,
of San Francisco, California, and K.C. Campbell, of Bentenville, Arkansas,
as well as a number of nieces and nephews.

Frank D. Campbell was born in Bed Oak, Iowa, on Sept.
25, 1860. When a small boy he moved with his parents to Arkansas where he
grew to manhood. From there he moved to Missouri where be met Rosa E. White.
They were married in December 1885. To that union was born one son, Charles
Campbell.
In 1888 they came west and located in Goldendale. In
1890 they moved to Spring Creek and established a home where Mr. Campbell
has resided until his death on December 10, 1947.
His wife preceded him in death on July 29, 1898.
He leaves to mourn his passing one son, Charles, a
daughter-in-law, Mrs. Charles Campbell, two brothers, W.B. Campbell of San
Francisco Calif. and K.C. Campbell of Bentonville, Arkansas. Also a number
of nieces and nephews.
He was a man of sincerity and honesty. He went out of
his way to help others and be a true neighbor.
