FRANK EUGENE CURL
Frank Eugene Curl, a resident of Lyle, Washington since
1921, passed away at the home of his son, Clifton, in Portland, Oregon on
March 21, 1950.
Mr. Curl was born at Scio, Oregon July 11, 1882. He lived
with his parents at Maryville, Oregon during his early youth. In 1903 he
moved to Klickitat Heights, where he took up a homestead and later married
Cora Johnson. A few years later they moved to Lyle where he has resided to
the present time.
Mr. Curl was a past president of the Lyle Commercial
Club. He has been Clerk of the local chapter of the Modern Woodman of America
for the past 26 years. He has safely driven school buses for the Lyle school
for the past 25 years. He is survived by
his widow, Cora A. Curl of Lyle and two sons; James A. of Lyle and Clifton
of Portland. Also a brother, William E. Curl of Grass Valley, California;
two sisters, Mrs. Ada Richardson of Klickitat and Mrs. Anna Curran of Sacramento,
California. There are three grand-daughters, Vicki, Lynda and Christy.
Funeral services will be held in the Lyle church Friday,
March 24th at 2 p.m. with Rev. George officiating. Burial will be in the
Balch Cemetery at Lyle, Wash.
