FRANCES E. PATRICK
Frances E. Patrick of Hood River, formerly of Trout Lake,
died May 19, 1994 in Hood River; she was 91.
She was born November 2, 1902 to Mary E. (Moore) and
Robert E.L. Brown in Trout Lake.
Mrs. Patrick attended Normal School in Bellingham and
Ellensburg and received her teaching credentials. She taught school in Trout
Lake, Glenwood, Klickitat, Camas and Clipper and from 1936 to 1946 was the
Postmistress at Trout Lake.
In 1937 she married Ernest Patrick in Trout Lake.
Mrs. Patrick retired from teaching in 1964 and moved
to Portland where she lived until returning to the Mid-Columbia in 1991 to
live in Hood River.
She was a member of the Trout Lake Presbyterian Church,
the Delta Kappa Gamma and NFA. She loved knitting, crocheting and other
handiwork. Each month she made favors for the local nursing homes, hospitals,
and Beth-El Shalom. She was preceded in death
by her husband Ernest who died in 1948, one son who died at birth, and her
brother Floyd. She is survived by her brother Charles
R. Brown; and sister Gladys Marcynski also of White Salmon.
Funeral services for Mrs. Patrick were held Tuesday,
May 24, at the Gardner Funeral Home; the Rev. Sigmund Podlozny, Jr. officiated
the service.
The family suggests contributions in her name may
be given to the charity of choice.
The Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of all the
arrangements.

19, 1994 at Hood River, Ore. She was born November 2, 1902 in Trout Lake
to Robert E.L. and Mary E. (Moore) Brown. She grew up in Trout Lake

back to teaching.
She married Ernest Patrick in Trout Lake in 1937. He
died in 1948.
Mrs. Patrick retired from teaching in 1964 and moved
to Portland before moving to Hood River in 1991.

Survivors include a Charles R. Brown of White Salmon;
a sister, Gladys Marcynski of White Salmon.
She was preceded in death by one son who died at birth;
her husband; and brother, Floyd.

Funeral services were held May 24, 1994 at 1 p.m. at
Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon with the Rev. Sigmund Podlozny, Jr.
officiating. Her place of burial was the Trout Lake Cemetery in Trout Lake.
Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
