DEATH SUMMONS FRED H. SCOTT
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday May 4,
in the Odd Fellows cemetery for Fred Harvey Scott, 74, resident of Bingen
since 1910.
The Rev. Geo. P. George officiated. Gardners funeral
service was in charge of arrangements. Pall bearers were Jack Ramage, Amos
Larsen, Clarence Johnson, Harold Lewis, Lee Lemley and Wayne Fink.
Mr. Scott was born April 23, 1883 at Pataha City, Wn.
and died Wednesday, May 1 at LaCenter nursing home. For many years he operated
a steam engine for the Nordby lumber mill, and later worked at the Underwood
Fruit and Warehouse. He never married.
Survivors include his sister Minnie Crawford; nephews
Ray, Dale, and Jack Crawford; nieces, Mrs. Grace Forbes and Mrs. Clay (Helen)
McReynolds; all the former of Olympia; and nephew Lee Crawford of Bingen,
with whom he made his home.
