"Obituary"
F.J. Bradley passed away Tuesday, August 23rd, at The
Dalles hospital following an illness of four days. He sustained a broken
neck from a fall of 12 feet, while loading ties at Camp Five, near Klickitat,
Wash. He was paralyzed from his neck down, but remained conscious until an
hour before his death.
He was a member of the Methodist church, a good father
and neighbor.
Mr. Bradley was 58 years of age, and leaves to mourn
his loss, a wife and nine children: Mrs. Cora Schmude, of Tonaskit, Wash.,
Mrs. Nettie Cool, Redding, Calif., Mrs. Ethel Maxon, San Diego, Calif., Rosa,
Hazel, Roy and Herbert, all of Lyle, Earl of Friend, Ore., and Clarence of
Chehalis, Wash. Also a half brother and family of Portland.
The entire community extend their sympathy to the bereaved
family.

NECK BROKEN IN FALL, MAN DIES AT HOSPITAL

Franklin J. Bradley, 58-year-old employee of the J. Neils
Lumber company, whose neck was broken in a fall from a 12-foot pile of ties
last Friday, died at The Dalles hospital last night. His recovery was doubtful
from the first, as the nature of his injury made it probably fatal.
Surviving are a widow, Elizabeth Bradley and nine children
, Mrs. Cora Schmidt of Tonasket, Wash., Mrs. Nettie Cool of Redding, Cal.,
Mrs. Ethel of San Diego, Earl of Friend, Clarence of Chehalis, Roy, Herbert,
Rose and Hazel of Lyle. He also leaves
a half brother, William King of Portland, and 11 grandchildren. Funeral services
will be held from Lyle tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Rev. Charles A. Edwards
officiating. Burial will be at Lyle under direction of the Zelf Funeral Home.

F.J. Bradley of Klickitat, this county, died at The Dalles hospital Monday, says a correspondent of the Agri. Bradley suffered a broken neck when he fell from a pile of ties at the Klickitat plant of the J. Niels Lumber Company.

FATAL ACCIDENT TO KLICKITAT MAN
(From our Klickitat correspondent)
A fall from a 12 foot pile of lumber or ties resulted
in the death of Franklin Bradley, last Tuesday. He was 58 years old, and
employed at the Neils Lumber Plant. Bradley's neck was broken in the fall
and he was rushed to The Dalles hospital, where he later died.
He is survived by a widow, Elizabeth Bradley of Klickitat,
and nine children. Four of the children, Rose, Hazel, Roy, and Herbert, resided
at Lyle.
Funeral services were held at Lyle, under direction of
the Zell Funeral Home. Rev. C.A Edwards officiated.
