WOMAN SUCCUMBS

     Services were held Wednesday, July 20, for Fay Josephine Campbell of Underwood, who died at her home Saturday, June 16. She was 60.
     Mrs. Campbell was born January 14, 1930, in Colville, Wash., to Jeanette (Williamson) and John A. Marlett. She grew up in the Spokane, Wash., area and married Glenn Campbell in Chelan, Wash., Feb. 7, 1947.
     The Campbells moved to the gorge area in 1960. Mrs. Campbell worked for the District Court for the 17 years.
     She loved to knit, crochet and to camp. She enjoyed picking huckleberries and loved her job and her fellow employees.
     Survivors include her husband, Glenn, at home in Underwood; three sons, Steven of Underwood and David and Rodger of White Salmon; four daughters, Kathy Asher of Vancouver, Wendy Schmid of Trout Lake, Laurie Schlager of Underwood and Elizabeth Cummins of Dallesport; two brothers, John Marlett of Vancouver and Sidney Marlett of North Dakota; three sisters, Nellie Skeels of Addy, Wash., Nonie Helbig of Clayton, Wash., and Jeanette Wroe of White Salmon and 19 grandchildren.
     Rev. Les Haarstad officiated the service at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon. Committal was at the White Salmon Cemetery. Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

FAY JOSEPHINE CAMPBELL

     Fay Josephine Campbell of Underwood died in her home June 16. Mrs. Campbell was 60. Services were held Wednesday, June 20, at Gardner Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Committal followed at White Salmon Cemetery.
     She was born Jan.14, 1930, in Colville to Jeanette (Williamson) and John A. Marlett. She grew up in the Spokane area. Feb. 7, 1947, she married Glenn Campbell in Chelan.
     The couple moved to this area in 1960. She worked for the district court for the 17 years. Mrs. Campbell enjoyed knitting, crocheting and camping. She also enjoyed picking huckleberries.
     Mrs. Campbell is survived by her husband, Glenn Campbell of Underwood, children Steven Campbell of Underwood; Cathy Asher of Vancouver, David Campbell of White Salmon, Wendy Schmid of Trout Lake, Roger Campbell of White Salmon, Laurie Schlager of Underwood and Elizabeth Cummins of Dallesport; brothers, John Marlett of Vancouver and Sidney Marlett of North Dakota; sisters, Nellie Skeels of Addy, Nonie Helbig of Clayton and Jeanette Wroe of White Salmon; and 19 grandchildren.
