FRANK BEEKS DIES AFTER LONG ILLNESS
Young Many Passes Here Following Long Seige of Diabetes:
Interred at Pleasant Valley
Funeral rites for Marion Franklin Beeks, who passed away
here October 20 after a lengthy illness due to diabetes, were conducted from
the Chapman chapel Friday afternoon.
V.T. Smith, Church of Christ minister, officiated at
the services. Interment followed in the Pleasant Valley cemetery.
Frank, as he was known to his friends throughout the
district, had been confined recently in a large Portland hospital, returning
here after several weeks in an improved condition, but he suffered a relapse
some time later, which resulted in his death.
Obituary
Marion Franklin Beeks was born at Pleasant Valley, June
30, 1909. He passed away October 20, 1937, at the age of 28 years, 3 months
and 20 days.
He leaves to mourn his passing, his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. J. W. Beeks, four brothers, Lloyd of Trout Lake, Wash.; Billy, Johnny
and Edward of Goldendale; three sisters, Mrs. Earnest Greer, of Spokane and;
Mrs. Dorwin Creasar, of Husum and Irene of Goldendale; besides a host of
friends and relatives.
