FLORENCE HACKENBERG
Florence May Clark Hackenberg of Stevenson died last
Wednesday at home. She was 84.
Mrs. Hackenberg was born Aug. 24, 1907 in Burlingame,
Kan. to Pearl (Jones) and Benjamin Marshall. She was raised in the Columbia
River Gorge where she was a lifelong resident. She graduated from Columbia
High School in White Salmon and on occasion would help care for the elderly.
She was a member of Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her sons, David of Trout Lake and
Don of Stevenson; brothers, William Marshall of Vancouver, Harold Marshall
of Battle Ground and Ben Marshall of Trout Lake; sisters, Evelyn Canfield
of Carson, Irene Portner of White Salmon, Helen Luke of Vancouver, and Faye
Presler of Snohomish; 17 grandchildren and 33 great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at Trout Lake Cemetery
Sunday.

STEVENSON WOMAN DIES
Florence May Clark Hackenberg, 84, of Stevenson died
at her home July 1, 1992.
She was born to Pearl and Benjamin Marshall in Burlingame,
Kan., on August 24, 1907.
Mrs. Hackenberg was raised in the Columbia Gorge and
remained here all her life. She graduated from Columbia High School in White
Salmon.
She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church
and was active in caring for the elderly during her lifetime.
Survivors include sons, David Clark of Trout Lake,
and Don Clark of Stevenson; brothers, William Marshall of Vancouver, Harold
Marshall of Battle Ground and Ben Marshall of Trout Lake; sisters, Evelyn
Canfield of Carson, Irene Portner of White Salmon, Helen Luke of Vancouver,
Faye Presler of Snohomish; 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren.
Graveside services were held July 5 at Trout Lake Cemetery,
officiated by Pastor Phillip Sandford.
