F.O. CHILDS
F.O. Childs, long-time resident of White Salmon, died
at The Dalles hospital early Wednesday, November 13, having been there since
last Friday. He had been ill for some time and was up and down at various
times with his illness.
Funeral services will be held this morning at 11 A.M.
at the Gardner Funeral home with the Rev. George L. Jefferson of the
Congregational church in charge. The Oddfellows lodge will have charge of
the services at the grave in the I.O.O.F. cemetery.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. F.O. Childs of White Salmon;
two daughters, Mrs. Wm. Balsiger of White Salmon and Mrs. P.F. Proctor of
The Dalles; and two sons, John and Ernest.

FRANK OLMSTEAD CHILDS
Frank Olmstead Childs, 80 year-old pioneer of White Salmon,
died in The Dalles hospital, in The Dalles, Oregon, November 13.
He was born in Adren, Michigan, April 19, 1860. For thirty
years, after moving to White Salmon, he was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge,
and also a local Granger for many years.
He leaves as his survivors, his widow, Mrs. F.O. Childs;
sons, Ernest, of Trout Lake; John, of White Salmon; daughters, Doris Proctor,
of The Dalles, Ore., and Louise Balsiger, of White Salmon.
Services will be held this morning at 11 p.m. at Gardner's
Funeral chapel, with Reverend Jefferson officiating. The I.O.O.F. lodge will
have charge of the services at the Odd Fellows cemetery.
