EARLY PIONEER DIES IN FIRE AT WHITE SWAN
The body of 85-year-old Frank Yeackel was found in the
ashes of his small two-room home near White Swan Monday.
Fire was reported about 4:15 p.m. by neighbors who had
to drive to White Swan to report the fire. The house was completely engulfed
in flames when the firemen arrived.
Frank Yeackel is a half brother to the father of August
Jackel and Charles Yeackel and was distantly related to others in the Centerville
area.
Graveside services were held at the Centerville Cemetery
Wednesday morning. Rev. W. Nesbitt Byars conducted the service.
