FRANK ROBERT LANE
MADRAS -- The funeral for Frank Robert Lane, 68, of Redmond,
who died Thursday in a car-train collision, will be Monday at 10 a.m.
The service at the Madras Evergreen Chapel will be officiated
by Elder Arthur E. Davies of the White Salmon, Wash., Seventh-day Adventist
Church.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. at the Trout Lake Cemetery in
Trout Lake, Wash.
Mr. Lane, 1184 NW 35th St., lived in Redmond for about
15 years before moving to Grandview, Wash., two years ago. He had just moved
back to Redmond in February.
He died Thursday when the car he was driving was struck
by a freight train about a half mile south of Metolius.
Mr. Lane was born in Newport, Ore., in 1908. He was a
member of the Redmond Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Barbara Lane of Redmond
and Phyllis Knapp of Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Ray Lane, Layfette; and
two sisters, Myrtle Garrett and Vada Wilson, both of The Dalles.
Mr. Lane was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth, in
1972.

Frank Robert Lane, 68, died April 14 in a car-train accident
near Metolius.
He lived at 1184 NW 35th St. Redmond.
Mr. Lane had just returned to Redmond from Grandview,
Wash., where he lived for two years. He had lived here for 15 years prior
to leaving for Washington.
Born July 13, 1908, in Newport, he was a member of the
Redmond Seventh-day Adventist Church and a retired farmer. His wife, Ruth,
preceded him in death in 1972.
He is survived by tow daughters, Barbara Lane, Redmond,
and Phyllis Knapp, Anchorage, Alaska; a brother, Ray Lane, Layfette; and
two sisters, Myrtle Garrett and Vada Wilson, both of The Dalles.
His funeral was at the Madras Evergreen Chapel Monday.
Officiating was Elder Arthur A. Davies of the White Salmon, Seventh-day Adventist
Church. Interment was at the Trout Lake Cemetery in Trout Lake, Wash.
