"Heard on the Streets"

     Frank Marquiss, a prominent and well known farmer of Centerville, died at The Dalles Hospital, The Dalles, Oregon, yesterday morning, after having undergone an operation for appendicitis. He had been ill with this disease for some time, and had failed to survive the operation. He is survived by a wife and two children. The body was brought to Centerville yesterday, and funeral services were held there today at 11 o'clock, same being conducted by the local lodge of Odd Fellows, of which Mr. Marquiss was a member. Burial was made in the Centerville Cemetery.
