RITES HELD FOR APPLETON MAN
Funeral services for Frank Cox, 61, who died February
3 at the hospital in Hermiston, Ore., were held at Lyle last Friday afternoon.
Mr. Cox had been ill with pneumonia for nearly a month.
Mr. Cox had been a resident of the Lyle and Appleton communities
most of his life. He operated sawmills in those areas at various times. He
moved to Hermiston about three years ago.
He is survived by his widow, Florence, of Hermiston;
three brothers and two sisters. The Rev. Reynolds, of White Salmon conducted
the funeral services from the Methodist Church in Lyle. Gardner's Funeral
Home of White Salmon had charge of arrangements. Interment was in the family
plot at the Appleton cemetery.
