GERALD A. FREEMAN

     Gerald Arthur Freeman was born September 29, 1881 in Des Moines, Iowa and died June 21, 1966 at the Multnomah Hospital in Portland at the age of 84 years.
     Mr. Freeman owned and operated a grain and cattle ranch in Lyle for about 20 years before moving to Portland where he operated a service station for 16 years until his retirement.
     He was a member of the White Salmon Lodge No. 163. F&AM, having joined the Masonic Order in Des Moines over 60 years ago.
     He is survived by his widow Daisy Freeman of Portland and a brother, Clarence E. Freeman of Redondo Beach, Calif.      Funeral services were held Friday, June 24, at 10 a.m. in the Mikeworth's Peninsula Funeral Home in Portland with the Masonic Service Bureau officiating. Burial was in the Lyle Cemetery with graveside services under the auspices of White Salmon Lodge No. 163, F&AM.

MASONS HANDLE FREEMAN BURIAL

     Graveside services for Gerald Arthur Freeman, 83, former Klickitat county horticulturist and cattle rancher, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 24, in Balch cemetery, Lyle. White Salmon Masonic Lodge No. 163, F&AM officiated.
     Mr. Freeman was born Sept. 29, 1881 at Des Moines, Iowa and had been a member of the Masonic order for over 60 years. He was affiliated with the White Salmon lodge.
     A book binder, rancher and service station owner before he retired, Mr. Freeman owned and operated a grain-and-cattle ranch at Lyle for about 20 years before moving to Portland where he died Tuesday, June 21.
     Mikeworth's Penninsula Funeral Home, 3018 N. Lombard St., of Portland was in charge of services held at 10 a.m. Friday. Mr. Freeman is survived by his wife Daisy Freeman of 7050 N. Missouri St., Portland, Ore. and his brother, Clarence E. Freeman of Redondo Beach, Calif.
