Memorial services for longtime Trout Lake resident George
A. Pearson, who died Thursday at his home, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June
26 at the Baptist Church in Trout Lake. He was 91.
A potluck will follow at the church.
Born June 30, 1901 in Trout Lake to Susie (Stoller) and
Charles Pearson, Mr. Pearson was raised in Trout Lake and finished high school
in Pullman. He graduated from Washington State University with a bachelor's
degree in agriculture. He moved back to Trout Lake and married Ethel Waltz
in 1933. She preceded him in death in 1975.
He married Maude Underwood, who preceded him in death
in 1991. For many years he operated a dairy farm, retiring in 1970. He was
a member of the Mt. Adams Baptist Church and Trout Lake Grange. He was an
avid botanist and collected and identified wildflowers.
He is survived by his children, Carolyn Peterson of
Dallesport, Rosalyn Rapp, Orin and Monte Pearson, all of Trout Lake, and
Rudy Pearson of Pullman; 14 grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. He
was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters and one grandchild.
Private family graveside services were held at a memorial
at Mt. Adams baptist Church, committal followed at Trout Lake Cemetery.
Gardner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
