THOMPSON
Gayle Thompson, 70, of Centerville passed away Thursday,
Dec. 31, 1992, in Goldendale.
She was born on Dec. 26, 1922, at The Dalles to Frank
and Mary Garner.
She attended schools at Centerville, graduating from
Centerville High School.
She enjoyed sewing, quilting, crossword puzzles, and
going to the mountains and fishing. She was a member of the American Legion
Auxiliary and the Centerville Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Marc Niva of Goldendale,
Jim Niva of Anchorage, Alaska, and Ken Niva of Winnemucca, Nevada; three
daughters-in-law, Gail Niva of Winnemucca, Nevada, Jeanne Niva of Anchorage,
Alaska, and Phyllis Niva of Goldendale; two brothers, Henry and Bill of
Centerville; two sisters, Janice Creason of Seattle and Elizabeth Brower
of The Dalles; her friend and companion, Buzz Claussen of Goldendale; nine
grandchildren and two great grand-children.
She was preceded in death by one brother Leo Garner.
Funeral services were held Monday, January 4, 1993, in
the Chapel of Erdman Funeral Home with Pastor Thomas McAdam of Christ the
King Lutheran Church officiating. Interment was in the Centerville Cemetery.
