G. D. CHAMBERLAIN
Gerald Dennis Chamberlain, of 23 SE 57th Ave., died Thursday
of injuries from a trucking accident north of Shelton, Wash. He was 51.
A Merchant Marine during World War II, Mr. Chamberlain
came to Portland in 1957 after working in logging in Drain. He was a native
of Weiser, Idaho.
Survivors include his wife, Mickey; three sons, Robert,
Donald and Victor, all of Portland; a daughter, Lori, of Portland; two brothers,
Vernon of Colville, Wash., and Virgil of White Salmon, Wash.; and a sister;
Vera Mccoy, of White Salmon.
Funeral will be at the Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes,
Monday at 11 a.m., with graveside committal service at 2:30 p.m. in Lyle,
Wash.

Gerald D. Chamberlain, 51, of Portland, was killed in
a truck and trailer accident at Shelton, Wash., on June 5. He was born in
Weiser, Ida. and raised in the Lyle area before moving to Drain, Ore. and
Portland in 1957. He was a member of the Merchant Marine in World War II.
He was a member of the Mt. Tabor Presbyterian Church in Portland, BPOE No.
1507, Hood River, White Salmon Lodge No. 163 F and AM, and Teamsters Local
No. 162.
Surviving are his wife, Mickey; one daughter, Lori; three
sons, Robert, Donald and Victor; one sister, Vera McCoy and two brothers,
Virgil of White Salmon and Vernon of Colville. His widow is a niece of Berma
Ganguin and Marjorie Crane.
Funeral services were held June 9 at the Gateway Little
Chapel of the Chimes, Portland. Committal services followed at Balch Cemetery
at Lyle.
