GLADYS MARCZYNSKI
Gladys Belle Marczynski, a longtime Klickitat County
resident, died Feb. 23, 1996, in White Salmon, at the age of 84.
Mrs. Marczynski was born March 21, 1911, in Trout Lake to Mary Elizabeth
(Moore) and Robert E. Lee Brown. The family moved to Idaho in 1930 and she
graduated from high school there in 1930. She married Marion Halse in 1930
and they moved to Trout Lake in 1938 and then to White Salmon in 1959. She
worked for the post office for 18 years.
Mr. Halse died in 1972. She married Zyg Marczynski in
1980.
She was a member of Bethel Congregational Church and
the Woman's Fellowship. She was a member of the Good Sam Club and a 50-year
member of the Trout Lake Grange. She loved to play cards and do crossword
puzzles. She also loved to camp.
Mrs. Marczynski is survived by her husband, Zyg, White
Salmon; daughters Lois Sharp and Patricia Neal, both of Vancouver; brother
Charles Brown, White Salmon; step-sons Marvin Marczynski, Tacoma, Lynn Marczynski
and Larry Marczynski, both of Vancouver; numerous grandchildren and
great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Mrs. Marczynski will be held today,
Feb. 29, 1996, at 11 a.m. at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, with Rev.
Sigmund Podlozny Jr. officiating. Interment will be at Trout Lake Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Bethel Congregational Church
of the American Cancer Society.
Arrangements were handled by Gardner Funeral Home in
White Salmon.
