CLOUD

     George Cloud, 71, Rockland, passed away June 21 at his home.
     Born Feb. 25, 1912 and Toppenish to Walter and Mary Cloud, he attended schools in Ft. Simcoe. He and Mary Stahi were married in Toppenish. A member of the Yakima Indian tribe, he had been a Rockland resident for the past 30 years.
     He is survived by five daughters: Esther Wilkenson of Goldendale, Delores Spino of Rockland, Sylvia Martinez of Hurrah, Syolla Leslie of Rockland and Sharon Cloud of Rockland; by two sons, Willard and Michael, both of Rockland; by a brother, Louis Cloud, and a sister Sadie Heemsah, both of Toppenish; and by 32 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.
     Dressing services were held June 23 in the Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home, with drumming services at Rockland.
     Burial was June 24 in the Lyle Indian cemetery, with Chief Fred Ike, Sr. and Wilfred Yallup officiating.
