"Trout Lake Valley"
TROUT LAKE, Mar. 6 -- (Special) Funeral services for
Rev. George Good were held in a local church, Monday, March 3, in the same
church where Mr. Good had preached for the last sixteen years. There are
few families in the valley that he has not conducted funeral services for
or performed marriages. And yet today we mourn him not as a minister but
as a true friend, a co-worker in our Grange, Masonic Lodge and other work
of community. The Good family has left an influence on our valley that will
never be forgotten as long as we live.
Mr. Wm. Good, of Iowa, brother of Mr. Good was here for
the funeral and will remain with Mrs. Good until she leaves for McMinnville,
where she will make her home.

FUNERAL HELD FOR TROUT LAKE PASTOR
GLENWOOD -- (Special) -- This community was saddened this week by the death of the Rev. Mr. George Good, Trout Lake pastor, who for many years served this community, endearing himself to all by his willing service to aid everyone at all times. Death followed an illness of some duration, as preparations were completed for a move to McMinnville, Oregon, in order to be nearer to the home of a son. Services were held in Trout Lake Monday and interment was made in the Trout Lake cemetery. Four sons and Mrs. Good survive him. Although gone in temporal things, the influence he exerted for kindly goodness will live on, long after his passing. Personally interested in the lives of all he contacted, his unpretentious goodness was an influence that extended alike to layman and church members. A tie that bound two communities together, his loss will be felt keenly both here and in Trout Lake.
