GLEN E. JANTZ
Glen E. Jantz of White Salmon died June 29 at Portland.
He was 85.
Mr. Jantz was born May 3, 1908 in Kansas to Lena (Schmidt)
and Fred B. Jantz. He grew up in Kansas working on a farm. He married Myrtle
Walther there and moved to Bonners Ferry, Idaho in 1936. He logged until
owning a garage where he worked on cars which was also a hobby of his. After
retirement he moved to White Salmon in 1978. Myrtle died in 1989 and he married
Marjorie Kersteter in 1991.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie of White Salmon;
daughter, Marylin Love of Mulino, Ore.; granddaughters, Kaye Simeon of Snohomish
and Jill Durkee of Portland; grandson, Lee Spurgeon of Oregon City; sisters,
Grace Norman of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and Esther O'Meara of Spokane and six
grandchildren.
Graveside services were held Friday at White Salmon
Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be give to Skyline Foundation
in care of Skyline Hospital.
Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
