GENE ERNEST STRUCK
Gene Ernest Struck, 68, of Walla Walla, died Feb. 9,
2004.
He was born Dec. 31,. 1935 to Virginia M. (McGowan) and
Ernest H. Struck He was raised in Appleton and Lyle and graduated from Lyle
High School. Struck married Carolynn Rowland in 1954 and they raised their
family in Klickitat County. Struck worked as a logger for various local
companies. He and Carolynn divorced in the mid-70s and he moved to Hermiston
at that time. Struck married Shirley Nieland in 1982 and they moved to Walla
Walla shortly after. Struck worked as a long-haul truck driver.
Struck enjoyed woodworking, and his family members were
recipients of his craft. He enjoyed country music and had a beautiful singing
voice.
His parents and one brother, Ted, preceded him in
death.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley, of Walla Walla;
sons, Don of White Salmon, and Ron of Orofino, Idaho; a daughter, Cindy of
Walla Walla; two sisters, Ellen Morrell of Vancouver, and Dorothy Jones of
Appleton; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Feb. 12 at Gardner Chapel
in White Salmon, with burial following in the family plot at Lyle Balch Cemetery
in Lyle. Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon is in charge of arrangements.

1270 N. Main St., White Salmon, WA, 98672. Burial will follow in Lyle (Wash.)

GENE STRUCK
Former Mid-Columbia resident Gene Ernest Struck, currently
of Walla Walla, died on Feb. 9, 2004, in Walla Walla. He was 68.
Mr. Struck was born Dec. 31, 1935. His parents were Virginia

Thursday, Feb. 12, 2004, at Gardner Chapel in White Salmon. Burial followed
in the family plot at Lyle Balch Cemetery in Lyle.
Gardner Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
