GEORGE GILMER FUNERAL IS SATURDAY

     Funeral services for George Gilmer, pioneer resident of this area who died at the West Klickitat Hospital Wednesday afternoon, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Bingen Congregational Community Church with Rev. Chas. Thomas officiating.
     Arrangements for the services are bring made by Gardner's Funeral Service. Burial will be at Gilmer Valley, where Mr. Gilmer homesteaded in the early days.
     Mr. Gilmer was 89 years old last March 23. He has been ill much of the time during recent months, but being a great lover of horses and rodeos, was permitted to ride on the parade at the rodeo on August 7.
     Surviving him are his two daughter, Mrs. O.V. Lemley and Mrs. Wm. Wier and his son, John.

GEORGE GILMER, PIONEER PASSES

     Klickitat county lost another of its history-making and popular citizens in the passing of George Gilmer last Wednesday afternoon at the White Salmon hospital where he had been confined for some time. Funeral services were held from the Congregational Community church in Bingen Saturday afternoon with the Rev. Chas. Thomas officiating. Interment was made at Gilmer Valley where he homesteaded in the early days.
     The deceased was 89 years of age at the time of his death. He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. O.V. Lemley and Mrs. Wm. Wier and one son, John.
