FINAL RITES HELD ON WEDNESDAY
Gladsie June Monagon, 42, born on July 8, 1923, in Endwell,
N.Y., passed away July 18 at The Dalles General Hospital. She had been a
resident of Lyle, Wash., for the past 2 years.
Gladsie Huntley was married June 27, 1941 to Mr. Leslie
Monagon at Cortland, N.Y.
She was a member of the Legion Auxiliary of Lyle and
the Eagles Auxiliary of Bingen, Wash.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons;
Ivan of Beaverton, Oregon; Lester, Kenneth, Eugene, and Lawrence all of Lyle;
and two daughters, Cynthia Underwood and Shelia Monagon both of Lyle.
Her parents are Mr. Charles Huntley of Candor, N.Y. and
Mrs. Cecile Scales of Endwell, N.Y.
She is also survived by one brothers, Roger Scales of
Endicott, N.Y.; a sister, Joyce Welch, also of Endicott, and a step-sister,
Peggy Ranft of Columbus, Ohio.
The funeral was held on Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock,
July 21, in Gardner's chapel with the Rev. A.L. Kinter of the First Baptist
Church of Hood River officiating.
The pall bearers were: Dominic McMahon, Stanley Hylton,
Ralph Williams, James Titus, James Curl and Ernie Archuleta. Interment was
at the Balch Cemetery at Lyle.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladsie June Monagon, 42, Lyle,
was Wednesday, July 21 at 2:30 p.m. in Gardner's chapel, White Salmon with
Rev. A.L. Kinter of the Hood River Baptist church officiating. Burial was
in Balch cemetery at Lyle. Casket
bearers were: Domonic McMahon, Ernie Archuleta. Stanley Hytlon, Ralph Williams,
James Titus and James Curl.
Mrs. Monagon was born July 8, 1923 in Endwell, New York,
and died in The Dalles, Ore. Sunday, July 18.
She is survived by her husband Leslie of Lyle; five sons,
Ivan of Bremerton, Lester, Kenneth, Eugene and Lawrence of Lyle; two daughters,
Cynthia Underwood and Shelia Monagon of Lyle; her father, Charles Huntley,
Candar, New York; her mother, Mrs. Cecile Scales, Edwell, N.Y.; brother,
Roge Scales, and sister Joyce Welch, both of Endicott, N.Y.
