GLENN MCKENZIE
Glenn Louis McKenzie, a Dallesport resident since 1974,
died Saturday in Hood River following a short illness at the age of 57.
Mr. McKenzie was born Feb. 7, 1927, in Grand Rapids,
Mich., to Mr. and Mrs. Louis A. McKenzie. He graduated from Grand Rapids
High School. He married his wife, Ida, in Stevenson in December 1954 and
settled in Dallesport in 1974. He was educated as a barber but worked as
a logger and heavy equipment operator for SDS Lumber Company for many years.
He was recently baptized Episcopalian.
He is survived by his wife, Ida; his mother and stepfather,
Bob and Leila Roberts, Bingen; children, Lewis F., Gresham, Ore.; Glen D.,
Goldendale; Robert J., Seattle; Dennis W., of Dallesport; Joy Clubb, Long
Beach; Alice Pavey and Glenda Otis, both of Lyle; and 11 grandchildren.
Services for Mr. McKenzie will be Saturday at 11 a.m.
at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, the Rev. Dave Garrison officiating.
Interment will be in the White Salmon cemetery.
