GEORGE MARVIN ELKIN

     George Marvin Elkin was born In Spickidville, Missouri October 9th 1882. The son of Margaret Marrs and Edward E. Elkin, George came to Washington at the age of 12 and settled at Battle Ground, attending school at Fern Prairie. Moving later to Ashwood, Oregon he took up a homestead, and met and married Ora B. Clark, July 9th 1905.
     To this union one son was born in 1913, moving then to Trout Lake, Washington in 1918 they made their home until 1949 when because of bad health they moved to the Bonneville Sanitarium where. Mr. Elkin remained until his passing, May 5, 1951 at the age of 68 years 6 months and 26 days.
     He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Ora B. Elkin, North Bonneville, his son, Garland of Her-miston, Ore. Four brothers Milo A. Elkin of Redmond, Ore; Roy D. Elkin; of Portland, Ore., Arthur A. Elkin; of Hoquim, Wash., and Chas. K Elkin; address unknown. Two sisters Cora and Ruby and numerous nephews and nieces which in-clude Mr. and Mrs. Mike Walker of Bingen and Clem Clark. Two grand daughters; Mrs. Mary Rus-sell of Hermiston, Ore., and Mrs. Carl Holley of Pendleton, Ore. Two great grandchildren; Donald Russell and Benjamin Holley, and a host of friends.
     Funeral Services were conducted May 8th at 2 P.M. from Gardners Funeral Home in White Salmon with Rev. Ring officiating. Interment was in the Oddfellow Cemetery.
