     Many residents of the community attended memorial services last week at White Salmon for Mrs. Grace Brown who passed away in Long Beach, Calif. Among relatives from out of town who were here were Mrs. Brown's daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. D. Patterson, Long Beach, Calif.; her son, Loren Bertschi and family, Winslow, Ariz.; and nephew Lloyd Woosley and family from Anacortes.

GRACE BERTSCHI BROWN

     Funeral services for Grace Bertschi Brown will be this morning, Thursday, January 10 at 10 a.m. in Gardner's Chapel in White Salmon with Rev. Claire D. Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Balch cemetery at Lyle where she made her home for more than 35 years.
     Mrs. Brown was born April 24, 1898 in The Dalles, Oregon and died Saturday, January 5 at Long Beach, Calif.
     She is survived by one son, Loren Bertschi of Winslow, Arizona; a daughter, Mrs. Anita Patterson, Long Beach, Calif; a sister, Gladys Snedegar, El Camino, Calif. and five grandchildren.
