MANY FOUND DEAD IN REMOTE CABIN ABOVE GLENWOOD
Glen Stephen Lovall, 60, was found dead in his cabin
about 12 miles north of Glenwood Saturday afternoon by H.C. Throop of Glenwood.
Acting county coroner T.W. Mitchell of Bingen, who went to the scene with
Sheriff Ez Kaiser, said Lovall's death came through natural causes. W. M.
Davis, secretary of the Hell Roaring Co., also went to the cabin.
Lovall, a ditch walker, for the Hell Roaring Irrigation
Co., was last seen in Glenwood last Tuesday, and was believed dead about
four days when his body was discovered, the sheriff said.
Funeral services for, the deceased were held at the Gardner's
Funeral Home Wednesday afternoon, with interment following in the White Salmon
Cemetery.
Lovall lived in a cabin at the head of the Hell Roaring
system in Yakima County, and patrolled the ditches, for the company. When
water from the system became short last week, Throop went to Lovall's cabin,
to investigate the cause.
Lovall was injured in an auto accident at Glenwood June
19 and was hospitalized for a time thereafter. He was born March 24, 1895.
