SERVICES HELD JUNE 3RD FOR GUY JONES
Guy Travers Mordecai Jones, a resident of rural White
Salmon for many years passed away at his home on May 31st. He was born to
Gwenllian and John Morgan Mordecai Jones at Brecon, South Wales, England
on July 31st, 1896 and came to this country as a child, later returning to
England. Following World War I when he served in the British Army, he returned
to this country and settled near Husum, Washington where the family had a
ranch.
Surviving are a son, Jack M. Jones of White Salmon and
a daughter (Dottie) Mrs. Jerry Jones who resides in Portland, Oregon. Also
there are two brothers: Felix Jones of White Salmon and Ion who lives in
Dublin, Ireland.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 3rd at 11 a.m.
at Gardner's Funeral Home with Rev. Homer Coulson of Goldendale officiating.
Interment was at White Salmon.
Casket bearers were: Tony Guler, Russell Kreps, Cal Crook,
Johnny Gilmer, Jr., Bill Lauterbach, Jr., Clyde Knowles.
Guy was married to Geraldine Louise Chenaur at Vancouver,
Washington, October 1, 1929. She preceded him in death on October 22, 1958.
