GRACE HADDOCK
Grace V. Haddock, Lyle, died June 16, at the Mid-Columbia
Medical Center in The Dalles, at the age of 75.
Mrs. Haddock was born April 3, 1913, in Hamburg, N.D.,
to Edith (Martin) and Hiram Johnson. She moved to Omak and worked in the
shipyards in Vancouver. In 1942, she moved to Klickitat and she and her first
husband, Loyd Quinton, ran a turkey ranch. She moved to Lyle after his death
in 1969. She ran Wolf's Restaurant in Dallesport from 1971-72. She married
John Haddock in Dallesport on Dec. 21, 1975. She was a member of The Dalles
Episcopal Church and at age 75 was still a member of the Lyle Woman's Pool
Team. She loved to knit, was an avid reader and a great cook.
She is survived by her husband, John, Lyle; son, Dale
Quinton, Dallesport; and grandson, Loyd Quinton, Dallesport.
Services were held Monday at 3 p.m. at Gardner Funeral
Home, with Rev. David Kelly officiating. Interment was in Lyle Balch Cemetery.

GRACE QUINTON HADDOCKS
Grace Quinton Haddocks, 75, Lyle, died June 16 at the
hospital in The Dalles.
She was born April 3, 1913 in Hamburg, N.D. and moved
to Washington when a child.
During World War II she was a welder in the shipyards
at Vancouver and in 1942 moved to Klickitat where she and her husband, Loyd
Quinton, operated a turkey ranch. He died in 1969 and she moved to Lyle and
operated a restaurant in Dallesport from 1971-73. She married John Haddocks
in 1975.
She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in The
Dalles, the Lyle woman's pool team, enjoyed cooking and knitting.
Funeral services were scheduled for 3 p.m. today at Gardner
Funeral Home in White Salmon with burial in the Lyle Balach
Cemetery.
Survivors include her husband, a son, Dale Quinton and
a grandson, Loyd Quinton, Dallesport.
The family has suggested memorials to the American Diabetes
Association, Box 1657, Vancouver, Wash., 98663.
