KLATT
Gladys V. Klatt, born in Klickitat County January 22,
1909 to Clinton and Mary Walker, died at her home here April 26.
She grew up west of Goldendale, and on June 9, 1928 married
Henry Klatt, who preceded her in death Sept. 9, 1976.
For 35 years of Mrs. Klatt taught, 21 of those years
in the Goldendale school system. She was a member of the First Baptist Church
of Goldendale, the Retired Teachers Organization, the Goldendale Womans
Association, and the American Association of Retired Persons.
She is survived by a son, Charles Klatt of the St. Maries,
Idaho; by four grandchildren: David Klatt of Kendrick, Idaho; Janet Klatt
of Asotin; Valerie Hammerton of Seattle, and Frank Klatt of St. Maries; and
by three great grand-daughters: Anna Klatt and Nicole Klatt of Kendrick,
and Kelly Hammerton of Seattle.
Funeral services were held at the Knosher-Erdman Funeral
Home April 30, the Rev. Herbert Evans officiating. Interment was in the Spring
Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were Loren Storkel, Len Wilber, Ron Powell, Robert
Powell, Wilbur Rainey and Les Jobe.
