PFC. GER. W. KIGHT KILLED IN ACTION
On Sept. 28, 1944, in Holland Says War Department
The adjutants general office of the war department in a letter dated October 8 to Raymond B. Kight, of White Salmon, stated “an official report has now been received that your son, Private First Class Gerald W. Kight, was killed in action on September 28, 1944 in Holland.”

PARATROOPER WOUNDED IN BELGIUM SEPT. 28
Word was received Thursday of last week by Mr. and Mrs. B.R. Kight
that their son, Pfc. Gerald W. Kight, had been wounded somewhere in Belgium
on September 28. He is a paratrooper. The was department gave no further
information.
