HAZEL BERTSCHI

     Hazel Bertschi was born August 31, 1890 in The Dalles, the daughter of Luella and Henry Snipes. She was united in marriage to Ike Bertschi March 5, 1910 in Portland.
     For the past 35 years she has been a resident of Lyle, and passed away March 29 at a hospital in The Dalles following an illness of several months.
     Surviving are her husband Ike Bertschi of Lyle, a son, Ray, of Lyle, a grandson, Jerry, and two great-grandsons, Jerry and Howard. Also two sisters, Mrs. Grace Brown of Lyle and Mrs. C.C. Snedeger of Sacremento, Calif. survive.
     Eastern Star services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 2, at the Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon. Vault entombment followed at the Lyle Cemetery with the Rev. Miss Sawtelle officiating at the graveside services.
