            Harry Gotfredson of Bickleton, was killed in action in France, July 30, notice of the death having just received Alfred Gotfredson, brother of the dead soldier, from Washington, as mentioned last week. Harry Gotfredson joined the service at Camp Lewis in October, 1917, was transferred to Camp Mills, and soon after landed in France.  Later he was sent to Winchester, England, where he served it with the military police and in June, 1918, he returned to France, where he was last heard from by his relatives.  He was a member of Company B., 147th machine gun battalion.  The soldier was born near Bickleton, and was a prosperous young farmer when he enlisted.  He is survived by an aunt, an uncle, two sisters, and one brother.  He leaves an estate valued at $17,000.
