GLENWOOD PIONEER, HERMAN BERTSCHI, PASSES
GLENWOOD - The funeral of Herman Bertschi was held Sept. 12th at the Lakeside church, conducted by Rev. Good, of Trout Lake, and he was laid to rest in the Mt. Adams cemetery. Mr. Bertschi had been an invalid for seven and a half years, and was so patient and kind during the years of suffering. He was one of the many pioneers of Camas Prairie, and by his honest, sturdy worth helped to make this valley what it is today. He married Miss Mollie Cole, who passed away several years ago. Together they raised two sons, Cleveland and William, of Laurel, and one daughter, Mrs. Chas. Markgraf, of White Salmon. This community extends their sincere sympathy to the bereaved family.
