HARRY BENJAMIN
Harry Milford Benjamin, an area resident since 1972,
died May 27 in The Dalles at the age of 75.
Mr. Benjamin was born Dec. 11, 1909, in Napoleon, ND.,
to Mr. and Mrs. Stillman Benjamin. He married Kethe (Kay) Olson Nov. 30,
1931 in International Falls, Minn. He moved from North Dakota to Canada when
he was five years old. He moved to Minnesota in 1942, to Colorado in 1950
and California in 1966. He settled in BZ Corners in 1972.
He was a welder and mechanic most of his life and retired
from United Airlines in 1975. He was a member of the Moose Lodge.
Mr. Benjamin is survived by his wife, Kay, BZ Corners;
children, LeLane Westby, Portland, Harvey Benjamin, San Bruno, Calif., Fay
Hardy and Rudy Benjamin, BZ Corners, and Jody Ensminger, Underwood; sisters,
Arvilla Lombardi, Las Vegas, Nev., and Elsie Pollard, Seattle; and 16
grandchildren.
Services for Mr. Benjamin were Thursday at 1 p.m. at
Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, the Rev. Jimmie Franklin officiating.
Interment was in the Trout Lake cemetery.
