HOWARD BERTWELL

     Howard C. Bertwell, a Bingen resident for the last 18 years, died Thursday in Bingen, at the age of 74.
     Mr. Bertwell was born June 3, 1909, in Auburn, Neb., to Mr. and Mrs. Ira L. Bertwell. He married Ruth Rasford in Stevenson in June 19__. He was a retired left-truck driver for Underwood Fruit and Warehouse. He attended the Chruch of God of Prophecy in White Salmon and was a veteran of World War II.
     He is survived by his wife, Ruth, his sister, Agnes Adams, Auburn, Nebraska; and many friends.
     Funeral services for Mr. Bertwell were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Gardner Funeral Home in White Salmon, with Pastor Pat Dillon officiating. Interment was in the White Salmon cemetery.
