GLENWOOD, WN. Mar. 2 (Spec. -- Word was received here on February 18th of
the death of Harry DeVoe at the McMinnvile, Oregon hospital. The funeral
services were held at the Portland cemetery on February 20th. There were
many from Glenwood who went down to attend the services. He leaves to mourn
his loss, his wife Tillie, and son Harrison and daughter Margaret Bloomfield,
and two grandsons and one granddaughter, besides many other relatives and
friends, besides two brothers, C. DeVoe of Medford, Oregon and Don of Kansas.
Harry came to Glenwood from Kansas and drove the Glenwood
stage for Tune Wyers. He was Forest ranger for many years. Later he settled
down on his farm south of town and served as Triple AAA committeeman. He
helped organize the Cattle Association of Camas Prairie. He was a member
of the Rodeo Association and was a faithful worker for the Rodeo until the
last. He was always interested in all civic affairs and the Mt. Adams
development. The sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved family.

RITES CONCLUDED FOR GLENWOOD MAN
Funeral rites for Harrison W. DeVoe, well known in the Glenwood area, were held Friday, February 21, at the Portland crematorium, according to word received here. The Rev. S. James Osborne, of McMinnville, Oregon, officiated. Mr. DeVoe was born in Maynard, Iowa, on January 22, 1879 and passed away in McMinnville general hospital February after an illness of several months. He became a resident of Glenwood in 1907 and leaves a son, Harrison, there. He also leaves the wife, a daughter Margaret Bloomfield, of Portland, and two brothers, Claude DeVoe, of Medford, Oregon, and Don DeVoe, of Topeka, Kansas.

HARRISON WESCOTT DE VOE
Funeral services were held for Harrison W. DeVoe February
20 at 3:30 p.m. in the Portland Crematorium. Rev. S. James Osborne of McMinnville
conducted the service and interment was in the Portland Crematorium.
Harrison DeVoe was born January 22, 1879 in Iowa. He
was married to Matilda Margaret DeVoe, who survived him. He has resided in
Glenwood, Wn., until last year when he moved to McMinnville.
Other survivors besides the widow include one son, Harrison
D. of Glenwood; one daughter, Margaret E. Bloomfield of Portland; two brothers,
C.A. DeVoe of Medford and Don DeVoe of Topeka, Kansas.

Harry DeVoe, a pioneer resident of Glenwood passed away Wednesday, Feb. 18, in Portland. Those going to his funeral from Glenwood were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Murray, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Feller, Anna White, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hanson, Sr., and Stella Babcock.
