H. HOLLENBECK RITES HELD ON WEDNESDAY
Harold DeVere Hollenbeck was born November 22nd, 1908
at Bovill, Idaho, the son of Sarah and Audie Hollenbeck. He was united in
marriage to Olive L. Lesh at Vancouver, Washington on March 20th,
1935.
He had been a resident of Trout Lake, Washington since
1936.
After an extended illness Mr. Hollenbeck passed away
at a Portland hospital on May 31st at the age of 61 years.
He leaves his wife, Olive of Trout Lake; two sons, Ronald
of Trout Lake and David D. Hollenbeck, who presently is serving as captain
in the medical corp in Stutgart, Germany; a daughter, Zoe Wood of Santa Maria,
California; his mother, Sarah Hollenbeck of Woodburn, Oregon; a sister, Genevieve
Holman of Woodburn, Oregon. two brothers preceded him in death; Plummer and
Frank Hollenbeck.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 3rd, 2 p.m.
at Gardner's Funeral Home in White Salmon with Rev. Keith Curry of the Trout
Lake Presbyterian Church officiating. The BPOE Lodge #1868 provided the lodge
funeral ritual. Interment was in the White Salmon cemetery.
Casket bearers were: Tony Guler, Tony Smith, Ed Knoll,
Al Lermo, Harley Fordyce, Amos Pearce.
Honorary bearers were: Tom Nordby, Marion Babb, Stanley
Locke, Keith McCoy and Guy Jones.
