OLD PIONEER OF GLENWOOD DIES
Henry Edward Hansen, a resident of Glenwood for over
60 years passed away at Skyline Hospital Sunday June 6th. He was born at
Island Fohr, Germany, January 31, 1876. He leaves to mourn his passing, his
wife Anna of Glenwood, one son, Henry Hansen of Glenwood and three grandchildren.
One brother Nute Hansen of Germany and one sister Tressie Bouhan of Germany.
Several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services at Glenwood Church Thursday 2 p.m. with
Rev. Borhauer officiating. Gardner's in charge of arrangements.

DEATH SUMMONS HENRY E. HANSEN
Funeral services for Henry Edward Hansen, 78, Glenwood,
who died at Skyline hospital Sunday June 6, will be held at Glenwood church
at 2 p.m. today, Thursday, June 10. Gardners Funeral Service are in charge.
The Reverend Harold Borhauer, pastor of Mt. Adams parish, will officiate.
Mr. Hansen was born January 31, 1876 on the German island
Fohr, and came to the United States when he was 17 years old. For some time
he worked for John Crawford at the Lyle sheep shed until he had his own flock.
In October, 1904, he was married to Anna Troh and moved
to Glenwood. For about 20 years he worked for the late C.W. Weck of Glenwood
until they purchased the store from him. Mr. Hansen retired eight years ago.
He is survived by his wife, Anna of Glenwood, his son,
Henry A. of Glenwood; three grandchildren; a brother, Knute, and a sister,
Mrs. Tressie Bouhan, both of Germany; nieces and nephews.

Henry Hansen, a long time resident of Glenwood passed away Sunday night at the Skyline hospital from a heart attack. He has been ill for a number of years, but was able to be out and around his ward. He will be greatly missed by his many friends.
