HENRY WIIDANEN PASSES AT HOME IN CENTERVILLE
Henry Wiidanen, 60, prominent Centerville farmer and
a resident of Klickitat county for the past 55 years, died at his home at
last Saturday. Mr. Wiidanen, while in poor health, had not been ill prior
to his death.
Funeral services were held Monday from the Phillips chapel.
The Rev. Frank Cunningham was in charge of the services. Burial followed
in the Centerville Grange cemetery.
Mr. Wiidanen is survived by his widow, Evelina, one daughter,
Ruth Anderson of Tulelake, Calif.; two sons, Chester and Eldon both of
Centerville; three brothers, Abraham and Edward, both of Portland; and William,
of Centerville; and four sisters, Mrs. Ida Johnson, Mrs. Hilda Thorpe, Mrs.
Anna Jelkrem, all of Portland, and Mrs. Mary Mattson, of Centerville.
Mr. Wiidanen was born in Finland, Dec. 29, 1878 and came
to this country with his parents in 1883. He had resided at Centerville virtually
his entire life.
