OBITUARY
Henry F. Troh was born June 14, 1843, in Geltorf, Germany,
and died at the home of his son in Glenwood on June 14, 1927 at the age of
84 years.
Mr. Troh came to Clinton, Iowa, with his parents in 1857.
In 1872 he was united in marriage to Fredrich M. Reuter, of Lyons, Iowa.
Seven children were born to this union, of which three died in infancy.
In 1878 he came to Camas Prairie, now Glenwood, and has
made his home here since that time. His wife died at Glenwood the 14th day
of May 1894.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. J.T. Baker, Portland,
Mrs. Homer Ross, McMinnville, Mrs. Henry Hansen, and one son, Peter J. Troh,
both of Glenwood, ten grandchildren, one great grandchild, all of whom were
at the funeral, one sister, Mrs. Jim Galloway, Portland, and two brothers.
He was laid to rest June 15th, in the Grange cemetery,
the grange ceremony being used. He has been a member of Grange No. 49, of
Glenwood, since it was organized.
As an old pioneer many pioneers came from different parts
of the county to pay their respects to an old neighbor. Many and beautiful
were the floral offerings. He was a good father and neighbor.
