MRS. HANNAH WILLEY
Hannah File, was born in Bond County, Illinois, on January
31, 1850. She passed away, January 8th, 1936 in the Hood River hospital at
the age of 85 years.
She was married to John W. Gillispie, January 28, 1869;
there were three children born to this union, as follows: Mary E., James
W. and Lois E.. Her husband, John W. Gillispie, died Feb. 20, 1889; James
W. Gillispie, the son, survives her, and lives in Los Angeles, Calif.
A step-daughter, Mrs. Ethel Singleton, of Portland; a
step-son David Willie, of St. Louis, Missouri; and Vera, George and Dean
Willey, of this city, and Arthur and Arnold Gabriel, of Portland, all
step-grandchildren, survive her.
Hannah Gillispie re-married to William G. Willey, on
Oct. 23, 1907, and came to White Salmon and Bingen that year, later moving
to the White Salmon Development Company property, then to make their home
in north of White Salmon where she has lived ever since.
William Willey, her husband, died May 11, 1917. There
are numerous other relatives surviving her who now live in Illinois.
Funeral services will be held at the M.E. Church today
at 2 P.M.
