Funeral services were held in the church here Friday for Mrs. Scofield's father who passed away a few days after arriving here with his daughter and family at Laurel. Gardner's funeral parlors from White Salmon, had charge of the funeral. Rev. Fike preached the sermon and Sullivan Bolt, Tressie Fellers and Bertha Babcock sang. R.I. Parrot, Henry Trout, Mr. Robb, Ed Shaw, Orie Conboy and Cleveland Bertschie were the pall bearers. Sympathy is extended from the community to those left to mourn his passing. He was laid to rest in the Mt. Adams Grange Cemetery.

A funeral was held Friday morning for the father of Mrs. Orin Schoefield, Laurel, who had passed away Tuesday morning following a brief illness. Services were conducted by Rev. B.J. Fike, and interment was in the local Grange cemetery.
