DARE
Homer H. Dare, born December 10, 1904 in Mt. Vernon,
Illinois to Harley and Frances Dare, passed away December 1 in Goldendale.
After attending schools in Seattle, including the University
of Washington, he married Mary DeVos there in 1934.
Mr. Dare was a truck driver for Darigold, then worked
as a housing contractor for many years. He was an avid fisherman.
He retired in 1970, and with his wife moved to Goldendale
in 1982 to be near their daughter.
Survivors include his wife Mary, of Goldendale, and one
daughter, Julie Morris of Centerville.
Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 5, in the chapel
of Knosher-Erdman Funeral Home, the Rev. Julian Payne officiating.
Burial followed in the Centerville cemetery.
Pallbearers included Grant Morris, Harold Fairhurst,
Hap Hanson and Bill Seely.
