HELEN JULIA ANDERSON
Helen Julia Anderson, 95, of Centerville, passed away
Oct. 2, 1996.
She was born Feb. 11, 1901 near Centerville to Minnie
and Michael Anderson in a log cabin on land her grandparents had homesteaded
in the 1880's when they came from Sweden.
In November of 1920, she married Peter Anderson and they
farmed most of their lives on a farm that Peter bought from his father in
the 1930's.
Helen especially enjoyed her vegetable and flower gardens.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Peter; two sons,
Alvin Donald, and Virgil (Pete) Anderson; four brothers, Roy, Bill, George
and Otis.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Leona and husband
Charles Conlee of Vancouver; three grandchildren, Dianne Johnson, Curt Conlee
and Roxanne Rollins of Vancouver; one daughter-in-law, Mary Anderson of
Goldendale; step grandchildren, Judy Bray, Kathy Goodrich, Dennis Goodrich
and Danny Goodrich, and several great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Oct. 5, in the Erdman Funeral
Home with Pastor Thomas MacAdam of Christ the King Lutheran Church officiating.
Interment was in the family plot at Centerville Cemetery.
