MRS. HOCTOR DIES
Mrs. M.M. Hoctor passed away Tuesday evening at 7 o'clock following a stroke suffered a half-hour earlier. She had prepared the evening meal before her family and had just called the men to dinner when she was stricken. Mrs. Hoctor had suffered two strokes previous. William Chapman was called and the remains were taken to the Chapman Funeral Home. The funeral will be held Saturday morning, June 6, at 10 o'clock from Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Wm. Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Catholic cemetery. An obituary will be published next week.

MRS. HOCTOR IS LAID TO REST
Wife of M.M. Hoctor Honored by Host of Friends Saturday Morning in Goldendale
Mrs. Henrietta J. Hoctor, well known resident of this
vicinity and the wife of M.M. "Mike" Hoctor, prominent rancher of the Goldendale
district, was laid to rest Saturday morning in the Catholic cemetery near
the city. The respect in which the deceased resident commanded was exemplified
by the hundreds of friends who paid tribute to their memory at the last rites
at the Holy Trinity Catholic church and later at the graveside.
Henrietta J. Tobin was born in Salem, Oregon, January
8, 1876, to John, Sr., and Henrietta Tobin, and died June 2, 1936, at the
family home. She came with her parents the summer of the 1876 to Klickitat
county where they settled near Centerville, Washington.
She was married to Michael M. Hoctor, May 6, 1894, at
Centerville, Washington. To this union ten children were born, two preceding
her in death. Besides the husband, Michael M. Hoctor, six sons and two daughters
survive her: William E., John E., Joseph M., Frederick C., Richard H., Robert
C., Mrs. Agnes Sarsfield and Mrs. Grace Fuchs, also fifteen grandchildren,
six brothers and a host of friends.
The funeral services were held Saturday morning, June
6, at 10 o'clock from Holy Trinity Catholic church with Rev. Fr. Wm. Lee
officiating. The Requiem Mass was song by Sylvester Fuchs and Mrs. Frank
Gehler, of Toppenish.
